Now that Natalie Portman has finished her maternity leave, the actress has committed to starring in her first two films since winning the Best Actress Oscar for her role in Black Swan last year.
Portman, who more recently starred in Marvel’s Thor alongside Chris Hemsworth, is joining the casts of the Knight Of The Cups and Lawless, both of which are to be directed by Terrence Malick.
For Knight of the Cups, Portman will be joining Christian Bale, Cate Blanchett and Isabel Lucas for the film which starts shooting this summer.
In the autumn, she will then go on to film alongside Ryan Gosling, Bale, Blanchett, Rooney Mara and Haley Bennett in Lawless.
Although it will be Portman’s first time working with Malick, the news of her joining these casts is sure to go down well with fans of Malick’s films, which includes the highly acclaimed Tree of Life which won the Palme d’Or at Cannes last year and is nominated for Best Picture and Best Director Oscars.
